This car was built in Paris by René Panhard and Emile Levassor and was bought new by Sir Otto Beit the diamond merchant (whose brother Alfred was the main backer of Cecil Rhodes of Rhodesia) The car has been in the same family since 1967 and has competed in over forty London to Brighton Runs in that time.
