Stained glass is  sealing the two million pound deal for Emmanuel College in Cambridge.  Four years ago we successfully completed the restoration of the glass for one of the Emmanuel College student houses see here Now the house has been sold by the college with the period glass the major selling point with local firm Bidwells sealing the deal for close on two million pounds Here is their advert text: You can’t get much closer to Cambridge train station than Glisson Road. Solopark stained glass arrives – as I wrote in a previous blog here I have obtained stained glass from the Solopark  group and this week I have another batch. Included was this interesting stained glass panel depicting a small blonde boy collecting windfall apples and apparently watched over the gate by his grandfather or possibly caught in the act of scrumping by the orchard owner! The sharp eyed amongst you will have noted the missing right hand corner where it has received a hard knock. Bullard & Sons original leaded window rebuilt

Recently a rare Bullard & Sons original leaded sash window panel came into the workshop to be rebuilt. The panel was in a sorry state with the word ‘Stout’ almost completely lost. The entire window panel was rebuilt with new leadwork and replacement glass where the panes were cracked or lost. Once completed it has been mounted into a purpose built wooden frame allowing it to be mounted on a wall. We are currently working through a refurbishment at Bellerbys Queens Campus in Cambridge. The work on the windows is focusing on stabilising loose panels, changing broken panes and revisiting some of the repairs made before our time. Details on Bellerbys can be found here
